Visiting the beech forests in the Jizera Mountains is recommended from spring to autumn. In winter, we want to give nature a rest. During this time, rocks and some trails can be dangerous due to ice and snow. But don't worry, the beech forests have much to offer year-round.

Before any visit to the Jizera Forest, it's worth considering appropriate footwear and equipment. Since the trails mainly lead through mountainous terrain, choose high-quality hiking boots and appropriate clothing. Since signal problems can occur in the forests, even with a map showing the trails, you won't get lost.

Only walk on marked and permitted trails. This is the only way to protect the unique character of the Jizera beech forest. Even if the rocky viewpoints are equipped with railings, always exercise caution and consider climbing to the very top, depending on weather conditions. Surfaces may be slippery in wind or rain.

Respect nature. Don't damage rocks, plants, or trees. Take all trash out of the forest with you. Make sure everything is beautiful for future visitors—and for generations to come.
