To see waterfalls and Ořešník

9.3 km | 3 hours | challenging

Ořešník is an appealing sight as soon as you enter Hejnice. Its rocky gable looms up right between the towers of the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary.

Ořešník tends to be known as “the king of rock viewpoints”. Take a trip there and see for yourself whether there’s any truth in this!

Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary - The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hejnice is of the Czech Republic’s many national cultural heritage sites.

Velký Štolpich waterfall – The Štolpich Falls is one of the most beautiful spots in the Jizera Mountains. The Velký Štolpich stream forms a cascade of waterfalls almost 30 metres high in the upper part of the gorge.

Ořešník rock viewpoint – The view from Ořešník is exceptionally impressive. Roaring away below us are the cascades of Velký Štolpich, and the Smědá valley opens up just a little way further on, dominated by the Hejnice basilica.
